Mandate (David Shepherd Thrillers #4) [E-BOOK]

David Shepherd is sleepless the night before inauguration. He knows what he is getting into, or thinks he does. Does he really? Is he ready for the pressures of that office? Don't ask Kindle's AI for the answers. Read the book for yourself; it will be worth the time.

So David Sheperd is finally President, and his inauguration day goes off as planned, and in a couple of months time he and Michal are getting married. David has many plans and high hopes for both the role of president and husband, and in both his faith keeps him strong. However the political arena is no joke, and the demands made on his time leave him little time to spend with his new wife. She too takes on her role of first lady seriously, however she starts feeling the distance growing between them. David finds himself even unable to fit in his usual time for prayer and communing with God. He feels as though he is carrying all the weight of the country by himself, even when surrounded by his people. In this very powerful book we get to see David as the human being he is, vulnerable, and in his vulnerability instead of getting closer to both his wife and his god he turns to someone else. I really enjoyed this book, it is gratifying to see that even one as staunch a believer as David Sheperd could fall from grace, this gives us mortals hope! However will he be able to handle the responsibilities of a second term in office and to save his marriage, when his nemesis Everest is planning to defeat him, and a new interest is so close to him? I cannot wait for the next book in this series, as things are really getting interesting!
